We can do collectively what we cannot do individually.
Women of Worth (W.O.W.) is a philanthropic arm of the Foundation formed in 2009 as a nonprofit organization centered on cultivating and nurturing the spirit of giving among women in this community. Its focus is serving the women and children of Blackford County in ways that benefit their lives through education and encouragement.
The organization is open to any woman who has a special interest in helping the women and children in this county. The only requirement is a donation of $25 per year, which is tax deductible. This donation goes directly to specific grant proposals which fund local projects benefiting women and children.
Donors are invited to attend two meetings per year, a social event in the fall and a business meeting in the spring at which the donors choose which of the submitted grant proposals they wish to fund. Donors are not asked to join committees nor to raise additional funds. Grant applications will be accepted from groups and agencies that serve women and children living in Blackford County. Applications must be submitted to the Foundation office by February 1 each year.
If you wish to join the other 250 women of Blackford County currently growing a legacy of increased quality of life for women and children in this community, please contact the Foundation at:
