How to Apply for a Scholarship

Three kinds of scholarships are available in Blackford County. Each has its own application process.

• The Lilly Endowment Inc. Scholarship is available to one graduating student in 2012. Applications are due January 13, 2012.
• Local scholarships are available for graduating seniors. In 2011, 70 scholarships were awarded. Applications are submitted to the Guidance Department at Blackford High School.
• Postsecondary scholarships are available to those local residents who are continuing their college educations after an initial year of study. In 2011, 33 postsecondary scholarships were awarded. Applications are due June 30, 2012.
