Guidelines
The donor(s) will decide how to define the scholarship fund. The following guidelines may serve as examples of possible options when a donor is considering the establishment of such a fund with the Blackford County Community Foundation.
Criteria for Applicants
The applicants for the scholarship would usually meet some or all of the following criteria:
- Be a graduating senior from a high school or be a student at the undergraduate or graduate level,
- Be accepted to a four-year university or college, a community college, or a vocational school,
- Show achievement in academics, a minimum GPA, athletic, community service, leadership or character, demonstrate financial need, etc., and/or,
- Have demonstrated superior work in a particular field of study.
Purpose of the scholarship:
- To give financial support toward the expense of the tuition, and/or room and board.
- To be awarded as a one-time "lump sum" award or a renewable award if certain criteria are met.
